Job Description

Since its inception in 1973, Western Pacific Enterprises (WPE) has successfully completed many electrical construction projects for commercial, industrial and utility clients throughout Western Canada. Innovation and an enthusiasm for challenging projects has made WPE one of British Columbia’s (BC) largest electrical contractors. We are currently seeking qualified Superintendents with experience with commercial and industrial electrical projects.

Overview

The Superintendent is responsible for day-to-day oversight of crew operations, ensures that the quality of work and materials is upheld, and that the budget is followed as planned.

Essential Functions

  • Project scheduling and coordination with customer and other trades
  • QA/QC Management
  • Equipment review and scheduling
  • Develop and implements project procedures
  • Responsible for overall efficient use of materials and equipment
  • Responsible for the training and development of field crews, foremen, and general foremen
  • Ensure that on-site personnel comply with project procedures as well as safety program requirements and construction practices
  • Document procedural violations, provide appropriate notification, and recommend/implement corrective actions as required
  • New hire orientation and training for field personnel
  • Regular and predictable attendance
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Principal Skills/Qualifications

  • 10+ years' experience working in the electrical construction of commercial, residential and/or industrial fields
  • Journeyman certification or equivalent
  • Experience with managing field crews of 40+
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • A good work ethic with strong integrity and values
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft applications
  • CPR, First Aid, OSHA 10 & 20 Hour certified
  • Familiarity and ability to coordinate using BIM/Revit modeling
